How to Reach Tapola
Tapola is located about 25 kms from Mahabaleshwar. Hired Tourist vehicles and public transport buses are available from Mahabaleshwar.
By Private Car
Just as you enter Mahabaleshwar take a left and head towards ‘Aaram Chowk’. Once you reach Aaram chowk the road to Tapola is a straight road down hill. Follow the sign boards to reach Tapola but make sure you stop enroute to enjoy the views of the valleys in between Mahabaleshwar and Tapola!.

Take a bus to Mahabaleshwar. Even luxury volvo buses are available from major cities to Mahabaleshwar. From Mahabaleshwar public transport buses are available to Tapola. Apart from buses shared jeeps are also available which ply between Tapola and Mahabaleshwar. Although public transport is the cheaper mode of transport travelling by your own / hired vehichle would be far more convenient especially for sightseeing around Tapola. A visit to Kas would be close to impossible to do from Tapola if you are depending on public transport.

If you are travelling from Mumbai you have the option of travelling via Pune or via NH17. If you are taking the NH 17 route stay on the highway till Poladpur. From Poladpur take a left to reach Mahableshwar. Tapola is about 25 kms from Mahabaleshwar. Tapola is about 245 kms from Mumbai via the NH17
